Description
On this page, you are looking at the DBA 4000 Series Gravel Spec T-Slotted Rotor. This particular rotor has been designed with several key features which include the likes of T3 Slot 48 precision CNC machined slots. These are tri-symmetrical curve slots that will dampen the vibration which makes for a quieter, more responsive and smoother brake pedal feel. This rotor also has been designed with the Kangaroo Paw 144 diamond teardrop pillar ventilation system which increases the surface area resulting in greater heat dissipation which will minimize brake fade and increases braking performance. The materials used to develop this rotor are XG150 High Carbon Alloyed Iron which allows for a greater thermal capacity which allows the rotor to handle constant extremes of heat over extended periods of time which will minimize the risk of warping or cracking.
The 4000 Series also comes with Thermographic Temperature Monitoring. These are heat paint markings that will change color at a specific temperature thresholdwhich gives the driver an idea of peak braking temperatures, which allows for optimal choice in brake pad compound.
Finally, the 4000 Series will also have paint protection on non-friction areas which will help reduce corrosion, and it stops any unsightly rust formation.
This is a single rotor for the rear location.
Note: Built for STI with 190mm e-brake. Disc diameter is smaller than stock with 290mm.
